Passage: Ephesians 4:20-21
Paul is being painfully careful and clear to emphasize the difference that being a follower of Christ should make in the manner in which we live. Last week, we looked at his description of the lifestyle each of us engaged in before Christ; a lifestyle characterized by futile thinking, spiritual ignorance, alienation from God, hard hearts, seared consciences, and depraved conduct. In today’s passage, Paul shows us how the difference in life before and after Christ comes about. As disciples of Jesus Christ, each of us is automatically enrolled in school. Paul uses a very interesting phrase to describe the education we receive in this school – we learn Christ. This morning, we will consider what it means to be enrolled in the school of Christ and how it leads to a transformed life.
