Passage: Ephesians 3:7-13
We (rightly) tend to hold Paul in the highest regard, but he had no delusions about his own weaknesses or his sinful past. Paul’s humility led to amazement that God would choose to use him to bring the hope of Christ to the Gentile world. He realized that he was a recipient of God’s grace and that such grace had a specific purpose, namely, to transform his life and use him to declare the glories of the wisdom of God revealed in his church. It would behoove us to remember that God didn’t just save us for heaven but did so to use us for his eternal purposes.
