Passage: 1 Peter 1:3-12
Peter’s key theme in this text is that the Christian life should be one of tremendous joy resulting in praise to God. In one long and complex sentence in the original Greek, Peter declares that God is to be blessed and praised for His work of redemption. As recipients of that redemption, we experience unspeakable joy, even in the face of suffering. We are truly privileged recipients of God’s mercy and grace.
