Passage: Colossians 3:12-17
You can always tell when someone has purchased a new car! The paint job is immaculate, the inside is pristine, and that new car smell confirms your suspicions right away. The temporary tag on the back really gives it away; it really sticks out! Like that new car, everything that you see and observe about a Christian, especially when compared to a non-believer, should really stick out like the proverbial sore thumb. God has saved us, not just to keep us from the judgment to come, but to demonstrate Jesus to the world! Our lives, as disciples of Jesus, must reflect His character and compassion. Do they!? What do people see and hear when they see us? Jesus said in John 13:35 that people will know that we are His disciples if we have love for one another. Our position and practice speaks volumes. What is it saying about you?
