Passage: 1 Peter 5:1-4; Acts 20:28
We are continuing a four-week sermon series designed to help MCC prepare for their next pastor. One resource we’ve been using to help in this process is a new book by Christopher Ash entitled The Book Your Pastor Wishes You Would Read (But is Too Embarrassed to Ask). Last week, we looked at what we as individual members of the body could do in our own hearts to make our next pastor’s time here a joy. Today, we begin to consider what each of us can do to minister to our pastor. After all, before he was called to be the under-shepherd of Jesus’ sheep, he himself was (and continues to be) a sheep in desperate need of the grace of his Great Shepherd.
