Passage: Micah 5:1-5a
Continuing in our Advent sermon series entitled Christmas in the Old Testament, this morning, we look at one of the most familiar of all Messianic prophecies, Micah’s prediction of the birth of the Messiah in little, insignificant Bethlehem. From this little village would come One who would rule and bring peace to the whole world. The picture the prophet paints of this Ruler-to-be, and the New Testament references to this passage leave no doubt that the one who would be King and who Himself would be our peace is none other than the Lord Jesus Christ.
