Passage: Ephesians 6:18-20
This morning, as we are approaching the end of our study in the book of Ephesians, we actually conclude our look at the spiritual armor of God. Although not technically a piece of the armor, there is no doubt that prayer is absolutely essential for the Christian to stand firm against the devil’s schemes. But notice how we are to pray in such a way as to be an effective witness for the Lord: with alertness, perseverance, and for boldness. As ambassadors of Christ, like Paul, we must seek the enablement of the Lord to be bold and strong witnesses of the gospel. If Paul could ask for such prayers, so should we.
