Passage: Ephesians 4:14-16
This morning, we conclude our time in this important section of Paul’s letter to the Ephesians where he explains the way the church was designed by God to function. Growth is the key theme here, but not in the way we normally talk about growth. Paul is not focused on numerical growth nor is he speaking primarily of individual spiritual growth. His concern is the ongoing maturity of the church as a body, as expressed in its doctrinal stability and ministry effectiveness. As we dig into this passage, consider where you are most accurately described, whether as spiritual infants or as effective, essential, operating members of the body of Christ.
